Executive French Master Chef Jerusalem Marston-Reid

At the heart of Bistro 52 is Executive French Master Chef Jerusalem Marston-Reid—a culinary artist whose work embodies elegance, precision, and timeless sophistication. With over 25 years of experience, Chef Marston-Reid brings a rare level of mastery to the table, seamlessly blending classical French technique with modern American creativity to define the essence of refined comfort dining.

Trained in the traditions of haute cuisine, Chef Marston-Reid spent a decade under the mentorship of renowned French Master Chef Gérard Gasparini at Le Pomme in Gordonsville, Virginia. There, he cultivated a deep respect for the discipline, artistry, and heritage of French gastronomy—ultimately earning recognition within a prestigious culinary association dedicated to preserving and elevating classical French cuisine through a rigorous, peer-reviewed process.

His journey continued in Washington, D.C., where he was personally invited to work alongside White House Chef Jack Hanney—an experience that further sharpened his precision and elevated his culinary perspective at the highest level.

Drawn to the energy of New York, Chef Marston-Reid refined his craft within some of the region’s most dynamic kitchens. In Brooklyn, he joined the celebrated 5 Leaves, contributing to a vibrant, high-volume dining experience known for its creativity and cultural influence. He later became part of the elite culinary circle at Omar’s La Ranita in Manhattan—an exclusive private dining club catering to an extraordinary clientele, including Jay-Z, Dwayne Johnson, Kanye West, and Madonna.

Seeking both inspiration and tranquility, Chef Marston-Reid expanded his vision to the Virgin Islands, leading the kitchen at Oceana Restaurant, a premier oceanfront fine dining destination. Following Hurricane Irma, he returned to New York with a renewed perspective—one shaped by both global influence and resilience.

Over the course of his career, Chef Marston-Reid has contributed to the creation and success of more than $15 million in restaurant ventures throughout the Hudson Valley, including Brasserie 292, North Plank Road Tavern, The Wonder Bar, and The Lemon Squeeze. Today, he brings that wealth of experience and vision to Bistro 52 in Hopewell Junction.

At Bistro 52, Chef Jerusalem Marston-Reid curates more than a menu—he creates an experience. Each dish reflects a balance of tradition and innovation, offering guests a sense of familiarity elevated by artistry, intention, and unmistakable refinement.
